The projection system for same size copying comprises a scanning lens 26 fixed in the moving original modes, a fixed lens 27 and a lens/mirror 25, a reduced size image being produced by movement of an add mirror 60 into the optical path and by lateral and rotational movement of lens 25 (detail being given in Figs. 6-8, not shown). Lens 25 and mirror 60 are automatically moved into the reduced size copying position on selection of the appropriate gearing, the apparatus reverting to a same size copying mode when feeder 30 is moved off the platen.
